The employee selection process is an important factor in obtaining human resources that meet the company's needs. At PT. ALD Logistik Indonesia, the new employee selection process is still carried out manually, which has the potential to cause subjectivity in assessments, requires a relatively long time, and risks producing less than optimal decisions. This study aims to apply the Profile Matching method as a decision support system in the process of selecting new employee candidates to improve the objectivity and accuracy of decision making. The Profile Matching method is used by comparing candidate profiles to ideal profiles based on the criteria of work experience, warehousing experience, and experience operating warehouse vehicles. The research stages include data collection, determining standard profiles, gap mapping, value weighting, calculating Core Factors and Secondary Factors, and the candidate ranking process. Research data were obtained from 35 applicants who participated in the recruitment process at PT. ALD Logistik Indonesia, with 28 candidates who passed the administrative stage and participated in the assessment process. The results of the study indicate that the Profile Matching method is able to produce objective candidate rankings based on the level of suitability to the company's expected profile. The best candidate achieved a final score of 7.87, and the selection results showed a 26.67% increase in accuracy compared to the previous selection method. This study concludes that the Profile Matching method is effective as a decision support system in the new employee selection process because it can reduce subjectivity, increase the efficiency of the selection process, and produce more consistent decisions. The contribution of this study is to provide a Profile Matching-based employee selection model that can be applied to logistics companies to support a more effective and accurate recruitment process.
